The last vestiges of summer are truly over (and what a summer it was!), and we are now looking forward to a busy autumn as we lead into the Christmas season. To kick things off, we are excited to announce our third annual Family Fair and Fun Day, on Saturday 17th November. The day will include Christmas crafts, food, games for adults and children alike, and our fabulous bouncy castle. Come join the fun!
On November 24th, we are pleased to welcome back the Reverend Colin Chambers who will be giving a special talk on the Life and Legacy of Nelson Mandela. Colin served as Nelson Mandela’s Chaplain during 8 of the years that Mandela was imprisoned with other ANC leaders at the Maximum Security Prison on Robben Island and for a further 4 years while he was imprisoned at Pollsmoor Prison in Cape Town.
This retrospective is a unique opportunity to gain an insight into events which shaped the life of South Africa’s first black president.
Just in time for Christmas, our Candle-Light Carol Service will be held on 23rd December at 5:30 p.m. Denmead Brass Band will join us in raising the roof in celebration of our Saviour’s birth. Please note, the consuming of mince pies or other festive comestibles will be compulsory. Come all ye faithful!
